Rehna Becker LCSW, CADC

Rehna Becker is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She is certified in Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting (BSP), and is training to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. Rehna is also an EMDRIA Approved EMDR Consultant. Rehna currently spends her professional time treating individuals in her private practice and working with clients who are incarcerated and are actively engaged in substance addiction treatment in the Lighthouse Recovery Program in the Kane County Jail. She is also an EMDR Basic Training coach with EMDR Consulting and provides EMDR consultation and LCSW supervision.

Rehna specializes in incident and complex trauma, substance and/or behavioral addictions, compulsive behaviors, and mood disorders. Her scope of practice includes diagnosing and treating: PTSD and attachment/relational trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harm, anger, stress-related challenges, compulsive behaviors, and addiction. With respect to her addiction work, Rehna often works in collaboration with Lighthouse Recovery, Inc., a leading community provider for outpatient substance abuse treatment.

Rehna is passionate about working with individuals who feel stuck in unwanted emotional states, people who can’t seem to figure out why they continue to repeat patterns of unhealthy behavior or engage in toxic relationships time and time again.  Rehna has routinely seen clients who have either engaged in traditional talk-therapy for years with minimal progress or who have avoided therapy simply due to the belief that they are beyond hope. Through her extensive training, Rehna has developed a clear understanding that the brain is designed to heal and will do so if given guidance and a safe therapeutic space.  Through her clinical work, Rehna has embraced a firm belief that all people, no matter what they have experienced or what they believe to be true about themselves, are capable of moving beyond their past in order to thrive in the present with genuine self-love and a renewed sense of joy in life.
